Endlessly creating myself.

NOT YET A WOMAN

*Found this piece of work in a very old diary*

In the transitional stage of growing up from a girl to a woman,

I am still struggling to get my very own moment.

What is this deep unfathomed sea of emotion in me?

I dive in deep in search of the depth of the deeper meaning in me.

The rules and customs have chained my feet to the ground,

I wait for the stance to make myself proud.

I vow to endure the pain with grace,

Someday I want my light to beckon and ace.

I vow to soar the sky not cry,

I vow to spread my wings not sigh.

Some days I try to accelerate my pace, to get over this phase.

Some days I burn like a firefly with passion,

Rest days I dwell into an unknown state of compassion.

In the on-going process of self acceptance,

I am trying to understand this emerging absence.

Some days I wonder what am I destined to be?

Some days i wonder what the fate has in store for me.

In the transition from going yo from a girl to a woman,

I want to explore, grow, reach the highest peak and be human.

Unsaid

How often have you felt a lump in your throat?
That lump which chokes you down.
That lump which wears you out.
That lump which asks you to swallow your feelings.
That lump is a cry about helplessness
That lump is looking for words.
That lump wants to be heard.

10 Intellectually Stimulating Quotes by Kahlil Gibran.

Khalil Gibran  (January 6, 1883 – April 10, 1931)  was a Lebanese-American artist, poet, and writer.

Gibran is the third best-selling poet of all time, behind Shakespeare and Laozi.

He is chiefly known for his book The Prophet, an early example of inspirational fiction including a series of philosophical essays written in poetic English prose.

  1. The deeper that sorrow carves into your being, the more joy you contain.
  2. May there be such oneness between us that when one weeps, the other tastes salt.
  3. For even as love crowns you so shall he crucify you. Even as he is for your growth so is he for your pruning.
  4. It’s not a garment I cast off this day, but a skin that I tear with my own hand.
  5. Even  as the strings of a lute are alone though they quiver with the same music.
  6. The soul usually knows what to do to heal itself. The challenge is ti silence the mind.
  7. Focus on the powerful euphoric magical sychronistric beautiful part of life and universe will keep giving them to you.
  8. Long were the days of pain, I have spent within its walls, and long were the nights of aloneness, and who can depart from his pain and his aloneness without regret?
  9. Yesterday I was clever, so I wanted to change the world. Today I am wise, so I am changing myself.
  10. You may give them love but not your thoughts.

De Profundis

De Profundis- Oscar Wilde

If I had chosen, have torn you to pieces with bitter reproaches. I could have rent you with maledictions. I could have held up a mirror to you, and shown you such an image of yourself that you would not have recognized it as your own till you found it mimicking back your gestures of horror, and then you would have known whose shape it was, and hated it and yourself forever.

If-

A truly inspiring poem by Rudyard Kipling titled “If”.

If you can keep your head when all about you
    Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
    But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
    Or being lied about, don’t deal in lies,
Or being hated, don’t give way to hating,
    And yet don’t look too good, nor talk too wise:
If you can dream—and not make dreams your master;
    If you can think—and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
    And treat those two impostors just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you’ve spoken
    Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
    And stoop and build ’em up with worn-out tools:
If you can make one heap of all your winnings
    And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
    And never breathe a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
    To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
    Except the Will which says to them: ‘Hold on!’
If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
    Or walk with Kings—nor lose the common touch,
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,
    If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
    With sixty seconds’ worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it,
    And—which is more—you’ll be a Man, my son!

INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY

*picture in the post is painted by ME* 😀

To all the lovely ladies out there who have sacrificed their career, sleep and time for their family and friends, To those who did not care about being labeled instead carved their own path with a clear conscience. To those who succeeded and didn’t need anybody’s validation for their existence, To those who inspired the society to walk on a better path, To those who helped anyone in need and themselves led a path full of hurdles. A woman is not just a friend, a mother, a protector, a lover, a daughter, a sister. She is the center of this universe, she is the creator of this entity. Rejoice!

Sing no more ditties, sing no mo,
Or dumps so dull and heavy;
And be you blithe and bonny,
Converting all your sounds of woe
Into. Hey, nonny, nonny.

– William Shakespeare

THE FEELING UNKNOWN

*Very few will be able to relate to this “unknown feeling”, I’m targeting the emotional ones in the post.*

      “And all of a sudden I felt really tired. like the world has drained me for everything that I had.”- Unknown

How often do we feel lost, let down, disappointed, dissatisfied and stranded by our own feelings and emotions? We as humans should be thankful enough to be able to express our emotions, unlike animals who cannot speak. We on the other hand are so entangled in our own ego and pride that we tend to ignore the emotional turmoil inside us. This emotional turmoil when understood need to be stopped. It will engulf you, chain you and will create a huge void space inside you. There will be many chapters in your life, don’t get lost in one. It can be both a blessing and a curse to be able to feel deeply but you need to understand that unexpressed emotions will never die, they will be buried inside you and may turn you bitter. Emotions are healed when heard and validated. Never shut yourself down, never be afraid to voice your opinion, never ever let the criticism get to your head, do not let anybody take you down without your consent. Be charge of how you feel. Take pride in who you are and how far you have come. Let your feeling and emotions define you, not confine you to a room located inside your head. Pretending is not normal, acting out is. Here’s hoping you clear out your mental blockages and live peacefully. Much love!
